We see when Almighty God speaks, we must and should listen. And not only should we listen, we should also obey. In His speaking to us, He is communicating solid and clear direction for us. Turn to Joshua 8 as we see this tonight with Brother Jim.

As we look into chapter 7, we see that sin is a barrier that keeps us from Lord because He is holy. We must daily surrender our will to Him and also we must seek His forgiveness for our sins that separate us from God. Sin hidden becomes exposed. God cannot tolerate sin.

Joshua 5 tells us that we need to be prepared and also ready for all that God has for us. We also have to be set apart and free from sin. We have to be consecrated and sanctified for His purpose and use. Just as the Israelites prepared to possess the Promise Land, we must Be Prepared for all that God has for us.

Tonight we will dive into chapter 3 of Joshua and see the step of obedience the Levites took in receiving the promise of God to inherit the Promised Land. It required them to Step into the water. Here we see how the hearing of God can and does have a direct impact on the lives of those that hear about Him. Rahab has heard about God and her faith was developed and matured over time and we see how this faith grows in Joshua 2.

As we look at Joshua 1:10-18 we see that Joshua is preparing the nation of Israel to of and take possession of the land that God has promised and will give to them. It does take us getting ready to roll by trusting fulling in all and what He has promised in order to go!

As followers of Jesus, we like Joshua are called to serve the Living God. The Call to Courage is a strong one and comes with total assurance that it is from Him, by Him and for His purpose. As we unpack the this series in Joshua, we will see where God gives us courage to do what He desires for us. Joshua 1:1-9
