Sermons (Page 3)
In part two of our series, we will explore the truth from scripture that God is who He says He is and why, “I Believe”.
We are launching a new series for the next several months centered around the statement…I Believe. We will look at the scriptures to build a solid foundation about what, who and why we believe in God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit and more! Romans 10:9-10 is where we start this series!
As we finish our series in the book of Malachi, we see that the overarching theme of OBEDIENCE to GOD is what He desires of His people. Not only the children of Israel but those of us adopted into the family of GOD! we will see His power, His judgment and His love shown in Malachi 4:1-6 this week.
As we continue to dive into Malachi, God is clear that there are two types of people. Those that resist Him and those that follow Him. We will see this more as we unpack Malachi 3:13-18. Which one are you?
As a believer in Jesus, we are asked to worship Him with all of our heart. Since we know the worship is more than just music, do we do the same with our giving? Give with all of our heart to Him? Let’s see what scripture tells us about giving to the Lord from Malachi 3:6-12 and other passages.
As we look at Malachi 2:17-3:5, we will see that the LORD is desirous to purify His children through the work of Jesus and in the power of GOD. We must be willing to allow Him to do the work in us to remove what is hindering us from worshipping Him fully in ALL parts of our lives.
We know that God spoke creation into existence. We know and recognize that God still speaks even today. The question we have to wrestle and deal with is, do we listen? We see in Malachi 2:1-9 the result of failing to listen to God and obeying Him. Where are you…do you listen and obey or listen and disobey?
As we have been seeing, the children of Israel are hard hearted towards their Father and Master. They are also worshipping Him in a Half Hearted way. Join us in Malachi 1:6-14 as we see what is not pleasing to our Father, ABBA in heaven.
Our first sermon on the series had technical issues and was unable to record. Our apologizes. This one did work. As we examine Malachi 1:6-15, we see that there is one BIG question being asked…we will also see why the question is asked and what are response today should be to that question.
As we wrap up the series on the Advent, remember that word me the coming of something. We looked at Jesus coming as a baby, to bring hope, peace, light and love. Now we look at the fifth candle and the Return of Jesus! What a glorious event that will be! However, there is a reality, we must be ready for He Is Coming! Matt 25 sheds light on this and we will look there for…
